Extended School Program - ESP

Picture
Afterschool ESP (Extended School Program) is available beginning August 9th from dismissal to 6:00 p.m.

Every student must have an Emergency Information/ESP Registration Form on file (even if you don’t think you will use our ESP Program).  Please fill in every space, using “N/A” if necessary by July 1st.

If you plan to use the Extended School Program (morning or afternoon), send the Emergency Information Form/ESP Registration Form  and the $25 per child registration fee to the school by July 1st.   On August 9th, the first  FULL day of school, please inform your child’s teacher in writing if your child will be attending the Extended School Program on that day.

PreKindergarten and Kindergarten Arrival - The First Two Days of School

For the first two days of school, Pre-K and Kindergarten parents may escort their children to the classroom. Other new parents may escort their children into the cafeteria.  If you plan to bring your child into school the first two days, be sure to park in front of the church RECTORY (see diagram) and not in the car line.  Enter through the front lobby doors on Arnold Street.

All other parents drop off your child/ren in front of the school on Arnold Street (see diagram).  Safety patrols are available to help.   Parking is not available in front of the school.

After a welcome and Morning Prayer, teachers escort students from the cafeteria to the classrooms.

DISMISSAL

Picture
Dismissal is by car line.   All students (including PreK and K) will use car line beginning the first day of school.  Please display your child’s name on a piece of paper on the passenger side window.

Beginning August 9th, dissmissal is at 3:15 (2:30 on Wednesdays).  Students walk onto the sidewalk supervised by teachers and patrols. After the first week, students will be grouped according to car pools.

Parents line up in front of the school on Arnold Street toward the parish office driveway starting at the light pole marked with the orange cone.  The line continues in the church parking lot.  Remaining cars line up behind the orange cones in the church parking lot. Patrols will direct you. Please be patient and considerate. Teachers and patrols will direct cars down the road, and your children will follow you on the sidewalk. Please do not stop when you first see your child.
Walkers go out with car line and are escorted by a teacher up the hill after all cars are gone.

Students not picked up in car line by 3:30 p.m. will go into ESP beginning August 9th.   Parents must come into the school and sign out their children.  For safety reasons, NO CHILD MAY BE ON THE SCHOOL GROUNDS WAITING UNSUPERVISED FOR ANY REASON.

Occasionally, parents need to park at the rectory and come into the office to sign out their children for early dismissal.  This may be done by 3:00 p.m. or 2:15 p.m. on Wednesdays.  Parents come into the school through the front doors and exit through the back doors near PreK.  All early dismissals are reflected on the permanent records and report cards.
